I want to bypass MultiMC's built-in 'install forge' feature and just manually install using Forge's installer. Also i cant even download the universal forge file from the main site manually it just always fails. MultiMC is not up-to-date and does not list the most current versions of Forge (or Fabric) and flatout says there are no versions of Forge available for 1.17 (but there are). Since Minecraft is coded in Java, all mods are also coded in Java, required the code base to be installed to function properly. What should happen is the game launching with forge installed and then running so i can play some mods. It does this with every version of forge but the game does in fact launch when forge is not installed but what good is that when close to every mod need forge.
